They are good at keeping the reservation time that they give you and do most anything to accommodate your food and comfort requests.Description: EMBER WOOD FIRE GRILL is a casual dining restaurant, occupying the old historic train station in the quaint village of Livonia in Livingston County, committed to a hospitality first attitude. Definitely call ahead for reservations on a weekend and even a week day reservation might be smart. I would like to see them deal with that in some way. The only reason that I don't give Embers five stars is the noise. ![]() But, as someone who used to have to travel to Rochester for anything resembling the quality and ambiance of Embers, it is worth the extra dollars. There might be a bit of sticker shock for those who are used to paying the usual Livingston County price tag for dinners. What sells me on Embers every time is the beauty and upscale feel of the building itself, the unique menu and certainly the outside patio in the warmer months. The bar is a nice choice too as it is all beautifully appointed and one can dine in the bar area where there is also a wall fireplace. The owner is almost always on site and visiting tables. a great and much needed addition to the area options. In the summer months there is often live music in their back patio area which is trendy and comfortable and, again. The food is plated beautifully and, as mentioned. This lends itself to a noisy environment. The whole restaurant has high ceilings and (I believe) tile or wood flooring. It's dim lighting and center fire place add to the romance. The big front room is desirable for intimate dinners. The ambiance is different throughout the restaurant however. The food is always great and original using fresh ingredients. The tappas style dining it offers may take some getting used to for those who aren't familiar with it. S.O.S.: Shorts or Suit, come down and enjoy!!!Įmbers is a gem! It doesn't compare to any other in the area, in my opinion. ![]() Description: EMBER WOOD FIRE GRILL is a casual dining restaurant, occupying the old historic train station in the quaint village of Livonia in Livingston County, committed to a hospitality first attitude. ![]()
